Safely bringing you cleaner air.

Safety matters.

At CereneAir, we welcome the discussion about the safety of ozone. We understand the concerns some people and organizations have about ozone, due unfortunately to previous products that did not put safety first as we did when engineering CereneAir.

It’s important to understand that CereneAir is completely different from any other product on the market, past or present. CereneAir is a Net Negative Ozone Device (NNOD) that complies with UL 2998 and has Intertek’s Zero Ozone Certification. So no significant amount of ozone leaves our mobile air purifiers while they are in use. All ozone is generated inside a hermetically sealed chamber, then converted back into oxygen before exiting our net negative ozone devices. We offer multiple assurances of our product’s safety, as outlined below.

  • CereneAir’s zero-ozone mobile air purifiers conform to the Intertek “Zero Ozone” standard as well as the CARB (California Air Resources Board) standard.

  • CereneAir mobile devices meet EPA, OSHA and other ozone emission standards.

  • In independent testing, the ozone level in the air exiting the CereneAir unit was less than the natural ozone level in the ambient air in the room.

  • Our net-negative ozone devices have been cycle-fatigued for many months during internal and field trials.

  • The CereneAir mobile unit is certified by the FDA as a 510(k) Class II medical device.

Rigorous testing
  • Every CereneAir unit contains a primary external ozone sensor in the exhaust stream that will shut down the unit if an excess amount of ozone is detected.

  • Every CereneAir unit contains a secondary external ozone sensor in the exhaust stream—on a separate electrical circuit—that will shut down the unit if an excess amount of ozone is detected.

Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway

CereneAir units are backed by our parent company, Marmon Holdings, Inc., a Berkshire Hathaway Company. Marmon invested heavily in the development of our technology and particularly in our safety protocols, features and extensive testing. Safety was never compromised during our nearly two-year product development process, and CereneAir would not have been brought to market if its safety could not be proven.
